Spacious home with flatlet on offer in beautiful Robertson Valley

A five-bedroomed home with flatlet, situated in the country town of Robertson in the fertile Robertson Valley - which many describe as “one of the most beautiful valleys in South Africa” - will this month be auctioned by the Michael James Organisation.

The peaceful town, surrounded by the Langeberg Mountains, is known for its stud farms, vineyards and fruit farms, says the auction house’s Alan Scully.

The property on offer – 97 Paul Kruger Street (Erf 7883), Robertson – is to be auctioned on instruction from the trustees in the matter of Insolvent Estate J F Stemmet, Masters Reference: C724/2013, he says.

In addition to its five bedrooms, the spacious main house has an entrance hall, a kitchen with wood-burning stove and scullery, a sun room, a TV room, a braai room and open-plan lounge area, and three bathrooms. It also has a wrap-around verandah, and Oregon pine floors and doors.

The flatlet on the property comprises one bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen and a lounge.
The home and flatlet are set in large grounds – the site measures 3 575m² in total - with lei water from the mountain, he says. There is also a double garage.

“This house needs a little tender, loving care to make it the beautiful home it once was,” Scully adds.

The auction will be held on site at 97 Paul Kruger Street, Robertson, at 11.15am on Wednesday, 23 July. Viewing of the property will take place between 2pm and 4pm on Sunday, 20 July. More details and photographs are available on www.michaeljames.co.za, reference: 394.

The auction terms and conditions include a 10 percent deposit plus commission on the fall of the hammer, with the balance payable on transfer. A copy of each bidder’s identity document and proof of residence will be required for auction registration.
